: This study was approved by the local ethics committee (Ethics Committee of Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin, no. EA4/015/13), and all methods were performed in accordance with the respective approval. Patients were informed one day in advance and gave written consent to sampling of additional biopsies to ones that were taken for diagnostics during the routine endoscopic examination. For these, patients allowed usage for analysis of electrophysiological, functional properties and of RNA and protein expression.
