Ethics approval and consent to participate
: The study protocol has been approved by the Ethical Committee of the University Hospital of Ghent (B670201526906) prior to the beginning of the recruitment. Additionally, approval was obtained from the local Ethical Committees affiliated to the participating memory clinics: Committee of Medical Ethics VUB, Committee of Medical Ethics AZ Sint-Blasius, Ethical committee of GHdC, Ethical committee Vivalia, Ethical Committee AZ Sint-Jan Brugge-Oostende, and Ethical Committee CHU site Mont-Godinne. Written informed consent to participate was obtained from all patients via the informal caregiver because the patients were medically declared as unable to consent. This method was approved by the ethical committee. The study is registered at ExternalRef removed: NCT02630446.
