Ethics approval and consent to participate
: The study protocol was submitted for ethical approval by the Regional Committees on Health Research Ethics for Southern Denmark, who in accordance with the Danish Committee Act found that the study was not subject to notification (S-20200004). The Danish Patient Safety Authority approved the access and use of patient data from the municipal electronic care records, and in accordance with the Danish Health Care Act §46 waived the need for informed consent (31–1521-89). According to the Danish Health Care Act §46 information on individuals´ health from patient records can be retrieved for use in specific research projects of essential societal and public interest. Administrative data on patient’s municipal health services utilization was made available by the three municipalities on the basis of §10 in the Danish Data Protection Agreement. The Danish Data Protection Agency approved the handling and storage of data in this study (19/29873).This prospective study is registered at ExternalRef removed, ExternalRef removed (registered on May 13, 2020).
