: Approval was obtained from the Institutional Ethics Committee (IEC), All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhubaneswar. All methods were performed in accordance with the relevant guidelines and regulations of the Institutional Ethics Committee. Informed written consent was obtained from all the participants. Those suffering from mental illness or severe hearing/memory/speech impairment were excluded from the study. Each participant was assessed using the Hindi Mental Scale Examination (HMSE) for their eligibility. For illiterate participants, the information sheet was read out and their thumb impression was taken in place of signature in the presence of two witnesses unrelated to the participant, as approved by the Institute Ethics Committee.
