All eligible participants who had signed the consent form were included in the study. Improving the experience of Dementia and Enhancing Active Life: living well with dementia. The IDEAL study’ was approved by the Wales Research Ethics Committee 5 (reference 13/WA/0405), and the Ethics Committee of the School of Psychology, Bangor University (reference 2014–11684).
