: SAMBA is registered as a priority audit on the NHS England Quality Accounts list. All methods were carried out in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations. Local Caldicot guardian approval was obtained from each participating site. No identifiable data is transferred from participating sites. All analysis was conducted on anonymised data. The North-West Wales Ethics Committee confirmed that the SAMBA process as described, using anonymised routinely collected data did not require formal ethical review or individual patient level consent. Health Research Authority granted ethical permission to allow secondary analysis on non-identifiable data (REC 21/HRA/4196).
