: The study was approved by the Medical Research Coordinating Committee of the National Institute for Medical Research in Tanzania, (NIMR); reference no. NIMR/HQ/R.8a/Vol. IX/2347 and the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM).There was no participant informed consent because the study didn’t involve human subjects directly. The study used the de-identified routine TB programme data of all previously-treated TB patients at the study sites without any modification of the services/care they receive. This study did not involve changes in any interaction or process that engaged directly with patients.
