: This study has been conducted in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements, the principles of Good Clinical Practice, Good Clinical Laboratory Practices and the ethical principles of the declaration of Helsinki, as adopted by the 18th World Medical Assembly in Helsinki, Finland, in 1964, and subsequent versions. An ethical approval for conducting this study was taken from Nepal health research council (NHRC) and the Oxford Tropical Research Ethics Committee (OxTREC). An informed consent was taken from the parents/guardians of the neonates for enrollment in the study.
