: This study is part of a larger project, OPT-HepaC, funded by the Tuscan Regional Authority. Ethics approval was obtained from the local ethics committee (CEAVNO – CODE 18829). The study was approved by the competent ethics committee (CEAVNO – CODE 18829). No individual IC was required for secondary use of routinely collected and anonymised administrative health data. The requirement for informed consent was waived by the Ethics Committee of Tuscany Region - North-West Vast Area (CEAVNO) because of the retrospective nature of the study.
