Ethics approval and consent to participate
: Ethics approval for this study was obtained from the Ethics Review Committee, MRI, Colombo 8, Sri Lanka and ethics approval number is 11/2012. All the animal experiments were conducted according to the guidelines provided by the International Council for Laboratory Animal Science (ICLAS) and experiments were conducted at the local settings. All the Wistar rats used in this study were originated from the breeding colonies maintained at the Medical Research Institute, Colombo Sri Lanka for research purposes.
