Full ethics approval was obtained to perform the study in the Top End by the NT Health and Menzies School of Health Research Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC Reference Number: 2021–4124) and in Central Australia by the Central Australian Human Research Ethics Committee (CAHREC) (reciprocal ethical approval HREC Reference Number: 2021–4124). Research governance approval was obtained for both the Top End and Central Australia by the NT health Research Governance office (RGO) (RGO NT Health SSA: EFILE2021/26937).The INFERR clinical trial has full ethics approval by NT Health and Menzies School of Health Research Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC Reference Number: 2019–3536 and Central Australia Human Research Committee (CAHREC Reference Number: CA-19–3567).
