Ethics approval and consent to participate
: This study was performed with the approval of the Ethical Review Board of Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, Ankara, Turkey (FON 10/35–11). As the legal age of consent is 18 years of age in Turkey, written informed consent was obtained from patients’ parents or legal guardians at the time of diagnostic muscle biopsy.
