Ethics approval and consent to participate
: The study team received ethical approval to conduct the KPC baseline study from the Comité Nacional de Bioetica Para Saúde (Mozambique National Bioethics Committee for Health, Study #284/CNBS/16) and the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health Institutional Review Board (IRB Study #7178).Informed, written consent was obtained from all study participants. Data collectors provided participants with consent forms and read them aloud, which were then signed by all participants and verified by the study team. The consent forms were approved by both the Comité Nacional de Bioetica Para Saúde of Mozambique and the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health Institutional Review Board.
