: This study was ethically approved by the Makerere University School of Medicine Higher Degrees Research Ethics Committee (REC REF 2017–171) and the Uganda National Council for Science and Technology (HS356ES) as required by the regulations. Permission to conduct the study was obtained from the District and Community leaders. Written informed consent was obtained from all participants. All methods were carried out in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations and as outlined in the principles of <i>Declarations of Helsinki.</i> Participants with no formal education were able to understand the study, and informed consent information was translated into the local language <i>Lango</i>. Informed consent to participate was obtained from the participant’s next of kin/legal guardian.We used identification numbers instead of names to conceal the identity of participants. The confidentiality and privacy of all the participants were ensured.
