: The use of human tissue material and clinical data from theBertilssoncohort was approved by the Regional Committee for Medical and Health Research Ethics (REC) for Central Norway, approval no 4–2007-1890. All experiments were performed in accordance with the Helsinki declaration and other relevant guidelines and regulations. Informed consent was obtained from all participants. Other ethical aspects regarding the specific samples used in this study have been described in previous publications [CitationRef removed,CitationRef removed]. RNA-Seq data from thePrensnercohort was approved through dbGap (project #5870), and data were downloaded and stored according to the provided security requirements. All other data were downloaded from freely available and publicly open resources.
