Ethics approval and consent to participate
: The Geneva Cancer Registry has a general authorization provided by “la commission d’expert du secret professionnel en matière de recherché médicale” (ExternalRef removed) to collect nominative data and analyze the anonymized data. Informed consent to participate from patients is therefore unnecessary. Since the study did not require additional clinical information, approval of the Ethics Committee was not required.
