: The current study was part of an internal hospital project related to the improvement of the quality of life in cancer patients; the patients’ data we used came from the EMRs, and the data recording is part of the daily work of medical workers, the study was submitted to Ethics Committee of Zhengzhou University, thus, the need for ethics approval was waived by an Institutional Review Board (IRB) of Ethics Committee of Zhengzhou University. We used the data in EMRs so we do not need participants’ informed consent also. Administrative permissions were obtained from directors of oncology departments and information center to access the raw data from the hospital medical records.
