: The PEARL study has been reviewed and agreed by the Human Research Governance Committee at the Quadram Institute Bioscience and the London-Dulwich Research Ethics Committee (reference 18/LO/1703) and received written ethical approval by the Human Research Authority. IRAS project ID number 241880.All participants in the PEARL study must be able to understand the requirements of the study and provide signed and dated informed consent for themselves and their unborn child.An annual progress report will be submitted to the REC committee, HRA (and sponsor). In addition, an end of study notification and final report will be submitted to the same parties.All amendments to the study protocol will be submitted to the London-Dulwich Research Ethics Committee for their approval and are reported to the sponsor and investigators. Solicited and spontaneously reported adverse events and other unintended effects of the trial interventions and trial conduct will be recorded regularly in line with ethics requirements. The sponsor may conduct random audit processes to ensure compliance to the current protocol.
