Declarations
:
: The trial was approved by the Medical Ethics Committee of the four participating hospitals (University Hospital of Leuven, Ghent, Antwerp and Brussels) in Flanders, Belgium (B1432020000060). Important protocol modifications will be communicated to all relevant parties: investigators, trial participants, Ethics Committee and ExternalRef removed.Adolescents and parents will be given ample time to consider participation and they will be assured that they are free to withdraw from participating in the study without any effect on their care. Before participating, written consent from both parents, if applicable, and written assent from the adolescent is required and will be obtained without any coercion. Furthermore, an extra box needs to be ticked before the adolescent and parent(s) fill out the questionnaire, indicating that they have understood the information and have given consent to participate in the study. The data collector that fills out the questionnaire together with the adolescent will explicitly verify whether the adolescent understands what participation entails during the assent procedure, and again when filling out the questionnaire together.
