: All methods were carried out in accordance with the relevant guidelines and regulations. This study was approved by the Medical Ethics Committee of two hospitals in Flanders, Belgium (University Hospital of Ghent and Brussels), where we recruited adolescents with cancer and parents for testing intervention components and materials in Flanders, Belgium (B1432020000060). Adolescents and parents were given ample time to consider participation and were assured that they were completely free to withdraw from participating in the study without any effect on their care. Before participating, written informed consent from both parents, if applicable, and written assent from the adolescent was obtained without any coercion.
