: To conduct this study, we received ethical clearance from the Institutional Review Board of Addis Ababa University, College of Health Science, School of Nursing and Midwifery. All methods were carried out in accordance with the Declarations of Helsinki and relevant guidelines and regulations. Permission to conduct the study was obtained from the East Wollega Zonal Health Bureau and Wallaga University Referral Hospital. Before the questionnaire was distributed to each participant, informed written consent was secured from the mothers/caregivers. Data collectors explained the purpose and benefits of the study to the caregivers and instructed the participants that the information would be kept confidential.
