: The assessment of psychiatric patients with particular attention to suicide risk is part of several investigations approved by the local ethics review board of Sant’Andrea Hospital –Sapienza University of Rome. In addition, the study analyzed the demographical and clinical characteristics of patients as part of a broader investigation approved by the local Institutional Review Board of Sant’Andrea Hospital –Sapienza University of Rome.Review Board research ethics review board approved the study protocol of Sant’Andrea Hospital –Sapienza University of Rome, Italy (RIF. CE: 4646_2017). The study was conducted according to the guidelines of the Declaration of Helsinki.All participants provided informed consent for participation in the study. Additionally, all patients were in full possession of their faculties and capable of understanding and willing, while patients with cognitive deficits were not included in the study.
