Ethics approval and consent to participate
: The study will be conducted in accordance with the general ethical guidelines published by the Council for International Organizations of Medical Sciences [CitationRef removed], which include guidelines for vulnerable groups.All participants will be given written information about the study objective and modalities (points of assessment, lengths of interviews, focus groups, questionnaires), data preparation and anonymous data storage, the voluntary nature of participation, and their right to withdraw at any time. The researcher will contact citizens and other stakeholders willing to participate and inform them about the purpose and contents of the study. A guarantee of confidentiality and anonymity will be given by the researcher prior to each research activity. The data will be presented on an aggregated level, without any possibility of identifying individuals. Participants will also be informed verbally about their participation in the study and will be given the chance to ask questions. All participants will be asked to provide written informed consent. The term ‘low SES’ will not be used in the study or in any of the other research activities with citizens.The study procedures were reviewed by the Medical Ethical Committee of Wageningen University (METC-WU), and it was decided that the researchers are lawfully not obliged to obtain ethical approval from a recognised medical research ethics committee (METC-WU, 12 September 2016).
