Ethics approval and consent to participate
: The CHARMING study was granted ethical approval by the Cardiff University School of Social Sciences Ethics Committee (REF: SREC/ 1816). Children’s parents were sent written information about the study and were asked to return an opt-out slip if they did not want their child to participate in a focus group. Before the commencement of a focus groups and teacher interview, participants were informed that data would be anonymised, treated confidentially and that they were free to withdraw at any point. Following this, written informed consent was obtained.
