Ethics approval and consent to participate
: This study was approved by the School for Policy Studies Ethics and Research Committee at the University of Bristol (REF: SPSREC17–18.C22) on 30/05/2018. We will employ a dual parent and pupil consent process. Girls eligible to participate must provide written informed consent. If parents do not wish for their daughter to take part, they must provide written informed parental opt-out. The parental opt-out process has been approved by the School Ethics and Research Committee. Peer supporters will be asked to consent to the role and focus groups. Parents will be asked to give consent to allow their daughter to attend the peer-supporter training. Adult participants (e.g., peer-supporter trainers & school contacts) will provide written informed consent.
