: The local ethics committee (Comité de Protection des Personnes OUEST II ANGERS) and the French Health Products Safety Agency has approved the protocol, the letter of information and the informed consent certificate (study number: 2014-A00332–45).The PEPPER trial is registered in the US National Institutes of Health Clinical Trials Registry (ExternalRef removed) under the number NCT02317003 (December 15, 2014).Information to the participants about the present study will be given by the participants’ general practitioners. All participants will sign an informed consent before any intervention specific to the study takes place.Identifying data used to send the self-assessment kits to the participants will be stored in a separate database, while all the other data will be anonymised in the trial database. The collection of identifying data has been authorised by the French Data Protection Agency (CCTIRS/CNIL approval number 14.559).
