Ethics approval and consent to participate
: The Norwegian study was approved by the Regional Committees for Medical and Health Research Ethics and the Data Inspectorate (reference number 05/1379). All participants provided written consent to participate. For high school students and unaccompanied refugee youth younger than 16 years, additional written consent to participate in the study was collected from their parents or legal guardians respectively. The U.S. university study was approved by the University of Maryland, Baltimore County Institutional Review Board. (IRB Protocol #: Y10CC20162). In accordance with the approval, the students were first provided a description of the study by clicking on the link to the online survey. Students could consent to participate by clicking on the "I give my consent to participate" button, and were only then directed to the survey.
