: The medical ethics committee of Erasmus Medical Centre, Rotterdam, the Netherlands determined that the rules stipulated in the Medical Research Involving Human Subjects Act did not apply to this study (protocol no. MEC-2018-055). The schools, parents or guardians, and adolescents were informed about the study aims and procedure and they were assured that participation was completely voluntary and confidential. The schools provided active informed consent for their students’ participation. As all participants were minors (under 18 years old), informed consent was taken from the parents/guardians. Additionally, upon parental or guardian consent, adolescents provided face-to-face informed consent and were allowed to decline participation or withdraw from the study at any time. All methods were carried out in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations laid down in the Dutch law and followed by the Central Committee on Research Involving Human Subjects.
