: Participants agreed to both privacy policy and membership contract when they registered as monitors of the Web-based research company. On the first screening of the Web survey, the following were clearly indicated: survey purpose, question items, survey organization (including the name of the principal investigator), and response time, and only if they agreed to participate in this study, they were asked to click the “take part in” button and proceed to the response screen. This survey was conducted at the request of monitoring companies, meaning that the researchers did not handle any personal identification information. Additionally, the questionnaire did not include items to identify any of the participating individuals. This study was carried out in accordance with the Japanese Ethical Guidelines for Medical and Health Research Involving Human Subjects and approved by the ethical review board of the National Center for Child Health and Development (2019–059). Informed consent was obtained from the participants by clicking agreement box in online survey. The informed consent from the parents/legal guardians for participants below age 18 was waived by ethics committee of the National Center for Child Health and Development because this study was an anonymous observational study with minimal risk.
