: The study was carried out with the approval of the Senegalese Ministry of Livestock (authorization No. 1611) and the Research Ethics Committee of the International Livestock Research Institute (Ref. ILRI-IREC2014–07). However, all methods were performed in accordance with the relevant guidelines and regulations. Written informed consent from dibiterie tenants was obtained before data collection. At the end of the study, the hygiene kit was distributed to the dibiterie tenants of the control group and those of the group that received only the training.
