: All procedures were performed in accordance with the National Code of Health Research Ethics of the Nigerian Federal Ministry of Health. The study protocol was reviewed and approved by the Kebbi State Health Research Ethics Committee (KSHREC) of the Kebbi State Ministry of Health, Nigeria. Verbal parental consent was obtained prior to participation in vaccinations. Verbal consent was obtained in the local language over the phone due to language, literary and logistic considerations as the participants are boarding students housed at the school site. Consent was noted by the schools vice principal acting as the parents authorized representative.
