: The study obtained ethical approval from Nepal Health Research Council (372/2021 P). Furthermore, permission to collect data was taken from the Ministry of Social Development (MOSD), Karnali province, and the study municipalities. The verbal and written informed consent were obtained from individual participants before conducting interviews. Consent was taken from the legal guardian if the participants were 18 years or below. Participants were also informed that any information generated by the research might be published, but that confidentiality would be maintained and no personal details would be shared. The objectives and benefits of the study were clearly mentioned to the participants. Participants were informed that their involvement in study was voluntary and that withdrawal was permitted at any time, without any personal consequences. Regarding the recording of the interview, separate verbal consent was taken for recording the interview. All the personal identifiers were removed with the code for this purpose. Finally, all methods in the study were carried out in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations.
: Written permission was taken and granted from all participants in the study that after de-identification of the transcripts quotations will be used for publications.
