: All methods were carried out in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations. Permission was obtained from the concerned authorities. The study was approved by Kasturba Hospital Manipal, Institutional Ethics Committee, and registered in the Clinical Trial Registry of India (CTRI/31/03/2017/008273). A detailed subject information sheet was given in the local language (Kannada) to all the mothers and informed consent was obtained from each mother after explaining the purpose of the study, and methodology and ensuring the confidentiality of the data obtained.
