: The Ethics clearance certificate was granted by the Faculty Higher Degrees Committee of Tshwane University Technology (TUT) on the 19<sup>th</sup> November 2015 (FCRE 2015/09/007 (02) (SCI). The research and the structured questionnaire and interview schedule were approved by the TUT Departmental Research Committee, the Faculty Committee for Research Ethics. Permission to conduct research on HCFS was obtained from each CEO or respective Facility Manager. All protocols were approved and carried out in accordance with the Faculty Higher Degrees Committee of Tshwane University Technology. All were informed about the study and its aim and objectives before the consent form was signed-a voluntary agreement to participate in research. Prior to participating in the study, all participants received detailed information leaflets and consent forms from the Tshwane University of Technology. Informed consent was obtained from all participants. Anonymity and confidentiality were ensured by not revealing the name or personality identification on the questionnaires. All information obtained from the field was kept in a locked storeroom in the researcher’s office. All questions and demographic information were coded on the data system so it will not be linked to the participants Electronic data was stored on a computer that is only accessible to the research team. The computer was password protected. All records of the participants were kept for a period of three years and thereafter destroyed in accordance with TUT policies.
