: The study protocol was approved by the Amref Ethics and Scientific Review Committee (ESRC) REF: Amref - ESRC P1130/2022 through a letter dated March 29, 2022. All authors in the study signed and committed to uphold the Amref data protection contract. Throughout the process of protocol development for ethical clearance, data processing, and writing up this research, the authors abided with international ethical declarations on human participants and data protection. No administrative permissions were required to access the raw data used in this study. This is because first it is the institution under which this study is being conducted, i.e., Amref Health Africa which organised for data collection as a collaborating partner with the Kenya Ministry of Health. Under the programme within which these data were collected namely, the community health programme, the community health workers working under the Ministry of Health and other designated implementing partners such Amref Health Africa routinely collect these community health information system data for programming purposes. As such no administrative permissions were required for Amref Health Africa (being already an implementing partner) to access the raw data.
: Not applicable. This study does not contain any individual personal data as all such details were removed and the dataset used in the analysis anonymised.
