:
: This study was conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki, and all methods were carried out in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations. The Swedish Ethical Review Authority approved the study (Dnr 2018/401–31). In Sweden, ethical vetting is always required when using sensitive registry data. The ethical vetting is performed by the Swedish Ethical Review Authority, and the risk appraisal associated with the Law on Public Disclosure and Secrecy is done by data owners (authorities). The requirement for informed consent was waived by the Swedish Ethical Review Authority because of the anonymization of patient information. Patient records/information were de-identified by the National Board of Health and Welfare, which was responsible for data linkage and delivery.
