: Ethical approval was gained from the Science Engineering Technology Research Ethics Committee (SETREC) of Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, London, UK (REF: 20IC5831). All participants gave their written consent to take part in the experiment. The experiment was performed following the ethical standards laid down in the 1964 Declaration of Helsinki.
: SAM, MM, CS and NG are employed by GripAble Limited. SAM is a visiting researcher at Human Robotics Group of Imperial College London led by EB, and had unrestricted access to the data. MM and EB are the owners of GripAble device’s patent. VM was an academic collaborator in this study and was paid as a consultant for his expertise in conducting this study.
