According to their functions,the retractor can be divided into soft tissues retractor, articular process retractor, and pedicle screw retractor. The hand-held retractor system was independently researched and developed by Division of Spinal Surgery, Department of Orthopaedics, Nanfang Hospital, Southern Medical University.
