: The study was approved by the local ethics committee of the Dept. Pediatrics of Erlangen [Chairman: Professor Dr. Dr. W. Rascher, Dept. Pediatrics, Loschgestr. 15, 91,054 Erlangen, Germany]. Growth-enhancing therapy with growth hormone in girls with Turner syndrome (TS) is an improved indication in Germany since 1991. All patients and parents gave their written informed consent after full explanation of the purpose and nature of all procedures used. The girls with Turner Syndrome were regularly presented at our outpatient clinic every 4 to 6 months. Blood sampling was performed only during routine follow-up controls of the children on GH therapy.
