: Ethics approval for conducting CNNS was obtained from the Ethics Committee of the Postgraduate Institute for Medical Education and Research in Chandigarh, India, and the Institutional Review Board of the Population Council in New York. Participation in the study was voluntary. All aspects of the study were conveyed to the participants prior to taking consent, including the purpose of the study, their right to discontinue anytime during the study without any penalty, they were assured of the confidentiality of data, they were informed told that there will be no monetary benefits of participation in the study and they will not experience any serious risks due to participation in the study. Written informed consent for adolescents aged 10–17 years, was obtained from the caregivers and written assent was obtained from the adolescents. Adolescents aged 18–19 years provided their own consent.
