: The findings discussed in this paper stem from a survey conducted in a larger study on perceptions of professionalism among undergraduate dental students. Administrative and ethical approval to implement the survey were obtained from the University of Toronto Office of the Vice-Provost, Students, and the University of Toronto Health Sciences Research Ethics Board (protocol number 38921) respectively, with all methods being carried out in accordance with the relevant guidelines and regulations. The survey was administered to prospective participants via email using the online survey tool SurveyMonkey®. All the emails contained information pertaining to informed consent, wherein participants were informed that by clicking the link to the survey they were giving their consent to participate in the study.
