: The study was approved by the Regional Committee for Ethical and Health Services (REK) in South East Norway (no.2018/288 B). The Data Protection Authority of the Norwegian Centre for Research Data (NSD) (reg.no 59350) approved the study. The study took place in accordance with ethical guidelines for nursing research in the Nordic countries [CitationRef removed] and the Declaration of Helsinki—Ethical Principles for Medical Research [CitationRef removed]. This means that the patients were informed in writing and verbally about the study, participation was voluntary, and patients had the opportunity to withdraw from the study at any time without any impact on their treatment or care, and that data was handled confidentially. All participants provided written informed consent. After the interviews, patients had the opportunity for extra support from the cancer care coordinator or a cancer nurse.
