: Ethical approval was obtained from the Regional Committees for Medical and Health Research Ethics in Norway (reference number 251284), the Norwegian Center for Research Data (reference number 289184), and the research ethics boards at each hospital involved in recruitment. Informed consent was obtained from all participants. Sensitive data were collected and stored using the Service for Sensitive Data (TSD). Trine Brun Kittelsen, OTR, MSc, is a PhD candidate at OsloMet with 20 years of experience as a pediatric occupational therapist in habilitation and municipal health services. Vibeke Bruun Lorentsen, PhD, is a nurse and associate professor of the master of clinical nursing, specialization in cancer nursing at VID Specialized University. Anja Lee, PhD, MD, has been a pediatrician for many years and is currently leading the first Norwegian PPC team established in 2019 at Oslo University Hospital. Lisbeth Gravdal Kvarme, PhD, is a professor of public health nursing at OsloMet with clinical experience in a hospital for severely ill children. Charlotte Castor, PhD, is an associate senior lecturer at Lunds University with 25 years of clinical nursing experience and is a researcher within home care services for ill children and PPC. Anette Winger, PhD, is a professor in palliative care for children and adolescents at OsloMet. She is an experienced pediatric nurse, educator, and researcher in pediatric palliative care.
