: The ethical clearance approval letter was obtained from the University of Gondar, College of Natural & Computational Science ethical approval committee (reference number: 02/03/976/10/2014). A letter of approval was obtained to perform the study in the hospital after the University of Gondar referral hospital's oncology department also received a soft copy of the research proposal. Every precaution was taken to protect the privacy of research subjects and the confidentiality of their personal information. Due to the unavailability of the outpatients with cervical cancer at the University of Gondar referral hospital during the data collection, informed oral consent was taken. Both of the institutions approved the use of informed oral consent, which was taken from study participants via phone call, before conducting this study. For those study participants who died, we used the caregiver's phone number, which was registered in the patient card, and they had given informed oral consent. For those who agreed to participate in the study, their cards were retroactively reviewed from May 15, 2018, to May 15, 2022, to collect information regarding outpatients' socio-demographics, medical histories, and treatments they had received. Data collectors explained the objective and purpose of the study to the participants. All methods were performed in accordance with the relevant guidelines and regulations.
