: This study was approved by the Ethics Committee of the Community Medicine Department, University of Khartoum. An administrative approval in a form of informed written consent was obtained from Wad El-habashi High School principal. As well, a verbal informed consent was obtained from each student and her parents, in addition to that, the principles of the school ascertained the understanding and consent of both the guardians and the participants verbally. Noting that written consents are not typically used in Sudan, as it is claimed that, in accordance to the local culture, it can excessively amplify the significance of the questionnaire to a limit that would probably alienate participants and breed apprehension.
