: The study was carried out in compliance with the Animal Research: Reporting of <i>In- Vivo</i> Experiments (ARRIVE) guidelines. All Ethical clearance protocols, guidelines and principles of Animal Care and Use were followed and approval was obtained for this study from Addis Ababa University College of Veterinary Medicine and Agriculture Minutes of Animals Research Ethics and Review Committee. The project leader presented an explanation of the purpose of carrying out the studies and all possible care planned to reduce animals from suffering due to sampling was given to the committee. After the committee evaluated the significance of this research, an ethical approval certificate was given (VM/ERC/01/13/12/2020).The plant collection was done according to A Preliminary Guide to Plant Collection, Identification and Herbarium Techniques, National Herbarium Addis Ababa University.
