: - The study was examined and approved by the Ethics committee in the Faculty of Pharmacy-October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) with ethics approval number (BP2/Ec2/2021PD).
: - The aerial parts of <i>Thymus capitatus</i> (L.) Hoffmanns. & Link were collected from North Coast, Egypt in the Spring of 2019 in accordance with national and international guidelines. Egypt does not apply any restrictions on plant collection for nonprofit or research use; especially that our plant is not endangered or at risk of extinction, however verbal permission was taken from the Alexandrian Governorate.
: The plant was authenticated in the Herbarium of the Faculty of Science, Cairo University. A voucher specimen (6-05-2019) was kept in the herbarium of the Pharmacognosy Department, Faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo University, Cairo, Egypt, with a deposition number (TC-00107).
