Ethics approval and consent to participate
: The Bern Research Ethics Commission declared that, under the Swiss law on human research (Humanforschungsgesetz, HFG), ethics committee approval was not needed for this research (BASEC-Nr: Req-2018-00059, 22nd January 2018).This research project was part of a wider evaluation of different pedagogical methods. In an on-line survey, participants were asked whether they gave consent for their data to be used in the research project, and only the data from those that ticked the box to indicate their agreement was used in the analysis.The study protocol was published as a password-protected pdf on October 31st 2018, available from
