: All methods were carried out in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations. The study was deemed exempt by the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Human Research Protection Program Institutional Review Board Protocol #STU2019-1249. The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Human Research Protection Program Institutional Review Board approved a mixed-method study design conducted in phases. “This phase of the study was a quantitative secondary data analysis involving no human subject research” therefore, the need for consent to participate was deemed unnecessary according to national regulations and the institutional review board at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.No administrative permissions and/or licenses were needed or acquired by the research team to access the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data Systems (IPEDS), the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) website, or Physician Assistant program websites.
