: The Audit, Assurance and Effectiveness Team and the Trust Research Advisor from University Hospitals Plymouth Research and Development team reviewed and approved our project prior to commencing data collection on the 1st and 3rd of February 2022 in accordance with institutional protocol. They defined this study as a service evaluation using the National Research Ethics Service (NRES) framework for defining research – these criteria can be accessed at ExternalRef removed. Therefore, they advised this study did not require Ethics Committee review and it was registered with the Clinical Audit Department, University Hospital Plymouth (Reference: CA_2021–22-253) as a Service Evaluation. Furthermore, the questionnaires were not collecting any personal identifiable data, findings were collected anonymously with no risk to re-identification and individuals chose to participate knowing that this had no impact on existing or future care needs. All patients gave informed consent after explanatory information was given and all methods were performed in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki.
